Rare chance to buy a series three, 3.4 litre Jaguar XJ6. Owned by me since 1998. Some restoration work done to a high standard in 1999. This work included the removal of both screens, cutting out all rusted metal, cleaning back and making and welding in new sections, filling and sprayingand bonding the screens back in place and new fillets. At the same time the inner and outer rear wheel arches were replaced and partial respray. the car was then used on weekends only for wedding car hire.This car is condition two or three and now needs total resoration with the usual cutting welding and spraying but it is not a basket case. The engine runs well but there is a problem with either the auto-box or it's linkage. I have not got the time to restore this one as I have to many other projects to do, also have not got the space. The car has been dry stored for the last few years but started every sixs months or so. These cars when rebuilt are some of the most refined vehicles on the road, so why turn up to a show in any old Escort when you could turn up and turn heads in a Jaguar !
